I would like to introduce myself as DJ Jazzy Kat from Connecticut. I am both a mobile DJ and a radio station owner, alongside my partner, Mikey Robert.
Have you ever wondered what life as a DJ is really like and why we choose this career? Each of us has had a variety of experiences in our journeys. If you think we just push buttons, you are mistaken! We lift heavy equipment, train for hours for our events, and work hard both on and off the air as mobile DJs and on-air personalities.
Learning to operate specific software, meeting with clients, and handling so much more can be both exciting and time-consuming. Every individual or group deserves our utmost attention! Scheduling appointments and getting to know our clients is essential, as they often have special days or events that mean a great deal to them. Their families and friends also wish to feel the warmth and joy of these occasions.
In this blog, I aim to share my thoughts and provide you with a better understanding of the time, patience, and determination I have as a female DJ and business owner. Running a mobile DJ business requires dedication; it’s not a typical Monday through Friday, punch-in and punch-out job. You must learn to adapt, as they say in the medical field, “babies come out when they’re ready”—at any time.
As a mobile DJ, you are in high demand and frequently on the go. But at the end of the day, there is an abundance of love—much like the love that accompanies a newborn baby.
